Scientific Constants

The calculator includes many scientific constants from various fields such as physics, chemistry, electromagnetism, and mathematics. The constants dialog box is accessible only in decimal base mode (DEC).

To open the constants dialog box, use the button ɀ. A search function is available, and a Recently Used category allows quick access to frequently used constants.

Some constants can be inserted into the expression in their scientific notation (their scientific symbol is highlighted), but you can also insert them as values by setting. A popup menu is available for each constant and offers options to save it to memory, to parameter, to clipboard, to favorites, or to share it as an image.

In edit mode, the selected constant is inserted at the cursor's location.

The scientific constants are regularly updated by the CODATA (Committee on Data for Science and Technology) standards to ensure accuracy and reliability. Should you encounter any discrepancies or values that do not seem to match, please do not hesitate to inform us. Additionally, for your convenience, values within parentheses next to each constant provide a reference for the uncertainty of the last digits, helping you understand the precision of these figures.

Built-in Constants

When a constant is used within an expression without an adjacent arithmetic operation, a multiplication operator is used by default.
▸   4π ➜ 4×π

R Pi Constant - Represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
▸   π = 3.14159...
¸ Euler's Constant - The base of the natural logarithm.
▸   e = 2.718...
